Phil 1:27-30

INTRO:

I. CONDUCT OURSELVES IN A WORTHY MANNER: VS. 27

A. A. 2 Tim. 3:15 “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth”

II. stand firm in one spirit: VS. 27

A. 2 Cor. 4:13 “With that same spirit of faith we also believe and therefore speak

III. contending as one man for the faith of the gospel: VS. 27

A. Eph. 6:12 “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

IV. without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you. vs. 28

A. Neh 6:14 … “remember also the prophetess Noadiah and the rest of the prophets who have been trying to intimidate me

V. but also to suffer for him, VS. 29

A. 2 tIM 1:12 “That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet I am not ashamed, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him for that day”
