“THE NEED OF OTHERS”

INTRO:

I.            WHY DO WE NEED OTHERS

1.      God said it:

A.            Gn. 1:18 “The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”  “Y dijo Jehová Dios: No es bueno que el hombre esté solo; le haré ayuda idónea para él.”

2.      We are created to socialize

A.            Gn 1:22 “God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.” “Y Dios los bendijo, diciendo: Fructificad y multiplicaos, y llenad las aguas en los mares, y multiplíquense las aves en la tierra.”

3.      We need it to be productive

A.            Gn 11:6 “Y dijo Jehová: He aquí el pueblo es uno, y todos éstos tienen un solo lenguaje; y han comenzado la obra, y nada les hará desistir ahora de lo que han pensado hacer.

II.            THE BENEFITS OF “THE NEED OF OTHERS”

1.      Ec. 4:9-12 “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” “Mejores son dos que uno; porque tienen mejor paga de su trabajo. Porque si cayeren, el uno levantará a su compañero; pero ¡ay del solo! que cuando cayere, no habrá segundo que lo levante. También si dos durmieren juntos, se calentarán mutuamente; mas ¿cómo se calentará uno solo? Y si alguno prevaleciere contra uno, dos le resistirán; y cordón de tres dobleces no se rompe pronto.”

A.            They have a good return – vs. 9

1.      Material side of needing each other

B.                   They can help each other – vs. 10

1.      The emotional side of needing each other

C.                   They can warm each other – vs. 11

1.      They physical side of needing each other

D.           Two can defend themselves – vs. 12

III.            Jesus will be with us

Mat 18:20 “For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.” “Porque donde están dos o tres congregados en mi nombre, allí estoy yo en medio de ellos.”

IV.            Our Prayers will be answered

Mat. 18: 19 ““Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven.” “Porque donde están dos o tres congregados en mi nombre, allí estoy yo en medio de ellos.”

V.            We can encourage each other

Rom 1:12 “that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith.” “mejor dicho, para que unos a otros nos animemos con la fe que compartimos.”

VI.            We can built each other

2 Cor 13:10 “This is why I write these things when I am absent, that when I come I may not have to be harsh in my use of authority—the authority the Lord gave me for building you up, not for tearing you down.” “Por eso les escribo todo esto en mi ausencia, para que cuando vaya no tenga que ser severo en el uso de mi autoridad, la cual el Señor me ha dado para edificación y no para destrucción. “
