THE LAW OF PROSPERITY

Joshua 1:8 “Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.” “Nunca se apartará de tu boca este libro de la ley, sino que de día y de noche meditarás en él, para que guardes y hagas conforme a todo lo que en él está escrito; porque entonces harás prosperar tu camino, y todo te saldrá bien.”

3 Jn. 1:2 “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” “Amado, yo deseo que tú seas prosperado en todas las cosas, y que tengas salud, así como prospera tu alma.”

INTRO: Prosperity - the condition of enjoying great wealth, success, or good               Fortune.  A fault in the Prosperity group is that the Word says:  Phil. 4:11 “I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.” “No lo digo porque tenga escasez, pues he aprendido a contentarme, cualquiera que sea mi situación.”

The beautiful thing about a true relationship with God is that you can be true to your relationship no matter what the circumstances or situations we are in. But God is true!  He does wants us to prosper and be successful , what we need to do is follow certain Biblical Principles.

There are many books, Cd’s, conferences about it but let me take you to the Word and see what it says for “Pathway.”

I.            THE “WORD OF GOD” WILL BE OUR MISSION STATEMENT

1.      It has to be your lifestyle

                                                  i.      Many say: “I believe in God, I have faith, I read the Word…”

2.      Biblical Principles are the key for success

                                                  i.      “Not depart from your mouth” “Nunca se apartara..”

ii.      “Meditate on it day and night” “meditaras en El”

iii.      “Careful to do everything” “Para que guardes y hagas..”

II.            DESIRE LIFE – Dt. 30:19 “This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live” “A los cielos y a la tierra llamo por testigos hoy contra vosotros, que os he puesto delante la vida y la muerte, la bendición y la maldición; escoge, pues, la vida, para que vivas tú y tu descendencia;”

1.      There is a purpose for you today

                                                  i.      God has a purpose for you “Today”

ii.      Your circumstances should not govern you, take control…

2.      There is a destiny for you - the inner purpose of a life that can be discovered and realized

                                                  i.      Tomorrow has the objective of today

ii.      The future has the harvest of today

3.      What you call out will come to pass – Prov. 18:21 “The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” “La muerte y la vida están en poder de la lengua, Y el que la ama comerá de sus frutos.”

III.            USE WHAT YOU HAVE NOT WHAT YOU DREAM

1.      Use your bottle of oil2 Kings 4:2 “Y Eliseo le dijo: ¿Qué te haré yo? Declárame qué tienes en casa. Y ella dijo: Tu sierva ninguna cosa tiene en casa, sino una vasija de aceite.” “Elisha replied to her, “How can I help you? Tell me, what do you have in your house?” “Your servant has nothing there at all,” she said, “except a little oil.”

                                                  i.      She believed that what she sowed in the past had importance in the present

1.      Her husband had been a prophet

2.      A handful of flour – 1 Kings 17:12 ““As surely as the Lord your God lives,” she replied, “I don’t have any bread—only a handful of flour in a jar and a little oil in a jug. I am gathering a few sticks to take home and make a meal for myself and my son, that we may eat it—and die.” “Y ella respondió: Vive Jehová tu Dios, que no tengo pan cocido; solamente un puñado de harina tengo en la tinaja, y un poco de aceite en una vasija; y ahora recogía dos leños, para entrar y prepararlo para mí y para mi hijo, para que lo comamos, y nos dejemos morir.”

                                                  i.      She learned to put God first in everything

IV.            SEE WHAT YOU HOPE FOR NOT WHAT SURROUNDS YOU

1.      Have your sight on your goals

                                                  i. “Jesus replied, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.”

2.      Have the same faith that brought Peter out of the water

V.            GIVE GOD WHAT IS HIS

1.      Mal. 3:8, 10” “Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me. “But you ask, ‘How do we rob you?’ “In tithes and offerings. Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.” ¿Robará el hombre a Dios? Pues vosotros me habéis robado. Y dijisteis: ¿En qué te hemos robado? En vuestros diezmos y ofrendas. Traed todos los diezmos al alfolí y haya alimento en mi casa; y probadme ahora en esto, dice Jehová de los ejércitos, si no os abriré las ventanas de los cielos, y derramaré sobre vosotros bendición hasta que sobreabunde.”

                                                  i.      Tithes

                                                ii.      Offerings

VI.            GIVE UNTO CESAR WHAT IS HIS -Mark 12:17 “Then Jesus said to them, “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s.” And they were amazed at him. “ “Respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: Dad a César lo que es de César, y a Dios lo que es de Dios. Y se maravillaron de él. “

1.      Pay our taxes

2.      Fulfill with  all our duties
