NOT DWELLING IN THE PAST
NO DETENERSE EN EL PASADO
Is 48:18 “No
“Forget the
former things; do not dwell on the past.”
INTRO:
In all the aspects of life, there is one area that needs to be
understood, if we want a solution for it.
It might be in the field of psychology, sociology or spirituality (if we
can separate them) this area needs an answer to be able to surpass any
situation. I believe that the answer
for any situation can be found in Jesus Christ.
A concern that I have as a
Servant of God for those that I minister to and encounter, is individuals not
being able to or not wanting to, is
“Letting go of the past.” Those
strongholds have taken them to a point in their lives that have stopped them
from achieving the destiny God has had for them.
How can we “Stop dwelling in
the past?” How can we be able to
break that barrier that is holding back the promises of God in our lives?
Is it really possible after we have tried everything and have failed?
Let is go to the Word of God
and see what He has to say to us in that matter.
I.
WHAT GOD SAYS BELIEVE IT –
Heb. 6:17
“Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to
the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath.”
“Por lo
cual, queriendo Dios mostrar más abundantemente a los herederos de la promesa la
inmutabilidad de su consejo, interpuso juramento;”
A.
Do not dwell in
the past / No os acordéis del pasado

i.
How possible is
that He can take away what has hold us in bondage for so long?
1.
hacerla.” “But the pot he was shaping from
the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot,
shaping it as seemed best to him.”
ii.
It is believing
that it is possible with God
1.
Mark 9:23 “
‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is
possible for him who believes.”
“Jesús le dijo: Si puedes creer, al que cree todo le es
posible.”
II.
IT IS BELIEVING THAT HE HAS NEW THINGS -
Is 43:19-21 “He
“See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.
The wild animals honor me, the jackals and the owls, because I provide
water in the desert and streams in the wasteland, to give drink to
my people, my chosen, the people I formed for myself that they may
proclaim my praise.”“It springs up, do you not perceive it?”
A.
It’s accepting the fact that if He said
it – I have to believe it
