REMINDED OF YOUR SINCERE FAITH

 

2 Tim 1:5

 

I have been reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also.

I.                    IT COMES TO MIND THAT:

a.      Are you sincere?

                                                  i.      without seal” – old market…. Transparent, honest, genuine, pure.  One who does not fear examination of his motives.

                                               ii.      How is your relationship with God?

1.      It wasn’t about his mother or grandmother, it started with the individual in a personal matter!

b.      Do you have faith?

                                                  i.      Not about what is God going to do

1.      That dream girl or guy, the lottery or luck

                                               ii.      Faith in God

1.      Your lifestyle

2.      Your values

3.      Your tribulations

4.      Your temptations

5.      Your sicknesses

c.       Do you still remember that Gift of God?

                                                  i.      James 1:17 “Toda buena dádiva y todo don perfecto desciende de lo alto, del Padre de las luces, en el cual no hay mudanza, ni sombra de variación.”

“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not

change like shifting shadows.”

1.      Life, health, family, friends, church, job?

2.      What salvation? Baptism of the Holy Spirit, members of Pathway Assembly?

 

II.                IT WAS FIRST IN YOUR GRANDMOTHER

a.      After service yesterday: 2 individuals came and expressed their testimony of Chepita

b.      What was her faith?

                                                  i.      2  Tim. 1:12 “That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet I am not ashamed, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him for that day.”  Por lo cual asimismo padezco esto; pero no me avergüenzo, porque yo sé a quién he creído, y estoy seguro que es poderoso para guardar mi depósito para aquel día.”

                                               ii.      “That is why I am suffering as I am”

                                             iii.      “Yet I am not ashamed”

                                             iv.      “I know whom I have believed”

1.      “Did her faith every wavered?

                                                v.      “I am convinced”

                                             vi.      “Able to guard”

                                           vii.      “What I have entrusted to him”

1.      What has she entrusted?

a.      Her husband, children, grandchildren, church, etc
