CONDITIONS TO SUCCEED

Joshua 1:8 “Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”

INTRO:

I.                    DO NOT DEPART FROM YOUR MOUTH

1.       Prov 18:21 “The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”

2.       Luke 6:45 “The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks.”

II.                  MEDITATE ON IT DAY & NIGHT

1.       Not only on the Day of the Lord

                                                   i.      Many just read the Word of God at services

2.       It is our standard of faith!

III.                BE CAREFUL TO DO EVERYTHING WRITTEN  IN IT

1.       Some use the Bible only for their convenience

2.       Some only take what will benefit them

IV.                YOU WILL BE PROSPEROUS

1.       flourishing, especially earning or producing great wealth

2.       There are individuals that believe in this teaching but when things don’t go the way they want we see them react not according to the Spirit but the flesh.  What does it take to prosper?

                                                   i.      Doing the true will of God

1.       Not stealing but working

2.       Not lying but being honest

3.       Living a holy life

                                                 ii.      Being faithful with your tithes

                                                iii.      Being faithful with your offering

V.                  YOU WILL BE SUCCESSFUL

1.       the achievement of something planned or attempted

                                                   i.      You can be prosperous but not successful

2.       You can be prosperous but not successful!

3.       In His Word you can have both
