ACCEPTING THE GIFTS THE FATHER HAS GIVEN YOU

Rom 11:29 “for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable.” “Porque irrevocables son los dones y el llamamiento de Dios.”

INTRO:  Many of us have experience not only the joy of the Father’s presence but also the blessings that accompanies His presence.  How many don’t enjoy the fullness of those blessing not because of the attacks of the enemy or the pleasures of this world but because of themselves.

You might say: “What do you mean; I’m stopping God’s blessings upon my life?”  “I’m not that crazy to stop God from blessings me” or “He doesn’t know what he is talking about.”

I have ministered this month in “Strengthening Your Relationship within Yourself” and through the Word of God have delivered and strengthen you in your own battleground.  Now is the time of victory, now is the time to reach out and accept what the Father has given us.

For us to be in that level of position and achieve that dimension in which nobody or anything will pull us back we have to remember these things:

I.            YOU HAVE A NEW IDENTITY WITH GOD THE FATHER

A.      Dwelling in the Past will never let us enjoy the gifts He has given us

B.      Not forgiving ourselves will stop us from enjoying the gifts He has given us

C.      Not forgiving others will stop us from reaching the enjoyment of His presence

II.            THIS IDENTITY COMES WITH BENEFITS

A.      Faith

                                                1)      Heb. 11:1 “Es, pues, la fe la certeza de lo que se espera, la convicción de lo que no se ve.” “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.”

B.      Hope

                                                1)      Rom 15:13 “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” “Y el Dios de esperanza os llene de todo gozo y paz en el creer, para que abundéis en esperanza por el poder del Espíritu Santo.”

C.      Love

                                                1)      1 Cor 13:13 “Y ahora permanecen la fe, la esperanza y el amor, estos tres; pero el mayor de ellos es el amor.” “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. “

D.      Power

                                                1)      Col 1:11 “being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully” “fortalecidos con todo poder, conforme a la potencia de su gloria, para toda paciencia y longanimidad;”

E.       Self-Discipline

                                                1)      2 Tim 1:7 “Porque no nos ha dado Dios espíritu de cobardía, sino de poder, de amor y de dominio propio.” “For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.”

III.            WHAT IS THIS NEW IDENTITY

A.      It  is being call His children

                                                1)      Jn 1:10 “Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God”

B.      It is being Co-Heir with Jesus Christ

                                                1)      Rom 8:17 “Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.” “Y si hijos, también herederos; herederos de Dios y coherederos con Cristo, si es que padecemos juntamente con él, para que juntamente con él seamos glorificados.”

C.      It is being a participant of His promises

                                                1)      2 Pe 1:4 “por medio de las cuales nos ha dado preciosas y grandísimas promesas, para que por ellas llegaseis a ser participantes de la naturaleza divina, habiendo huido de la corrupción que hay en el mundo a causa de la concupiscencia;” “Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.”
